A psychedelic and entheogenic-infused work inspired by the section on Soma in Terence McKenna's Food Of The Gods. The subject of many elegies and praise songs in the Rig Veda and other Indian works of great sacred literature, Soma's true nature is currently unknown to modern science, but the best candidates appear to be either ephedra or a psilocybin-bearing species of mushroom used to initiate an entheogenic experience of transcendent ecstasy. This piece favours the latter notion of the stropharia cubensis mushroom to create an image of a visionary mushroom being infused with entoptic visual phenomena.
