The final form of this mural stayed fairly true to the design of the leopard people coming down to the river Goukou to hunt antelopes, back when animals such as the eland and the elephant were plentiful in the region of the Southern Cape. However, I decided to use the idea of antelope tracks to make the narrative aspect of the design more visible, culminating in the killing of an antelope in the bottom right corner, as well as a gesture of respect given to the elephant close to the river.
