:: LUCAION'S SONG OF GREAT BLESSING TO THE WILDS ::

In Part Two of the Song of Lucaion, Lucaion has to gather up the planets into his ship in order to take them to the sky. When he arrives to gather up Mataruia, the Fernal planet Mars, he is tasked to corral the silver-antlered deer of Ferraxio in the northern realm of the Earthly Garden. This he does by singing a beautiful song to charm them. The text of the song is not given in the Song of Lucaion, but it is presented here.

Lucaion sings of how Ayia, the Queer Primordial Power of the Underworld Garden, sometimes likes to transform hirself into a silver-antlered deer called Chernanya ('Queer Antlers') and climb up through the caverns and strange skies of the Underworld in order to enjoy the delights of the Earthly Garden. Chernanya travels in the guise of a stag but once he arrives in Fernalia, the northern realm, he becomes a hind, and she dances and cavorts among the magic deer herds, attracting them to her. She seduces the Earthly stags before returning to the Underworld to give birth, magically creating the next generation of deer. In this way, Ayia-Chernanya is the Animal Master-Mistress of the Fernal Wilds.

io to yia, the wondrous Ayia
ascends from the Underworld to play,
magic queer-maker, fertile queer-maker,
ascends from the Underworld to enjoy

let my antlers become horns of silver,
let my body become the body of a deer,
let my hands and feet become cloven hooves,
let my eyes become soft and gentle,
let me become Chernanya for the voyage

from the caverns of the Underworld, rise up!
from the strange skies of the Underworld, rise up!
my four feet will touch the leaves of Ebion, rise up!
my silver antlers will caress the branches of Ebion, rise up!
for the voyage to Ebion, Chernanya, rise up!

Fernal Blessings to you, my sisters, let us dance,
Fernal Blessings to you, my brothers, let us dance,
Fernal Blessings to me also, Chernanya, rise up!

such sweet fragrances carry upon the breeze
coming from Fernalia where my deer brethren are,
such sweet grasses are known to be found
on the hills of Fernalia where my deer brethren are,
let my stag's feet run to them, Chernanya, rise up!

widely spread out along the peaks you are my sisters,
untouched by hunters' arrows you are my brothers,
the hinds are charmed by my staglike strengths,
come to me, my sisters, let us dance and play,
come to me, my sisters, rise up!

and I will become a hind like you, sisters,
I will make my body lithe like you, sisters,
the stags are charmed by my hindlike delights,
come to me, my brothers, let us dance and play,
come to me, my brothers, rise up!

Fernal Blessings to you, my sisters, let us dance,
Fernal Blessings to you, my brothers, let us dance,
Fernal Blessings to me also, Chernanya, rise up!

my brothers, come to me, I am in heat,
my brothers, visit my womb, I am ready,
they mount me so that children can be born,
they grant me their fertility so that magic can be made,
let me return as Chernanya for the voyage

to the strange caverns of the Underworld full of seed,
to the strange skies of the Underworld expectant and fertile,
my four feet will touch the cold ground of Iari heavy with birth,
my silver antlers will caress the hidden stars of pregnant Iari,
for the voyage from Ebion, Ayia, give birth!

let my antlers become shamanic costume,
let my body become the body of a human,
let my cloven hooves become hands and feet,
let my vagina and womb open to reveal the world,
let me become Ayia of the Underworld, give birth!

Fernal Blessings to you, my sisters, let us dance,
Fernal Blessings to you, my brothers, let us dance,
Fernal Blessings to me also, Chernanya, give birth!

in the Heart of the Underworld,
in the Heart of Fernalia,
come to me, my sisters, rise up!
come to me, my brothers, rise up!
come to me my sisters, give birth!
come to me my brothers, give birth!
let me gather you together for the voyage

io to yia - "Hail Queerness!"
Ayia - "Queer-Identified Human",
the Primordial Power of the Underworld

Here, Ayia transforms into a stag

Chernanya - "Queer Antlers"

Ayia-Chernanya voyages up to the
Earthly Garden from the Underworld

This is a Blessing Song, so this stanza
regularly interjects.

The words here mirror the description
of the wild deer in the Song of Lucaion

Now, Ayia-Chernanya transforms
into a hind to seduce the stags

Ayia-Chernanya returns to the
Underworld, pregnant with the next
generation of wild deer

Ayia transforms back into a Human
and gives birth

This final stanza is in Lucaion's own
voice, calling the wild deer to the corral
