:: TIARZECATAR :: THE THIRTEEN SONGS ::
:: ELEVENTH SONG :: SEYEZENCATAR :: THE SONG OF THE HEAVENTRACK ::
The Flying Water People see that Ana and Atlai are in pain because they long for each other but Heaven and Earth are separated. So they decide to create the Heaventrack to link the two worlds. Xactona flies into the branches of the tree Mintxac, and begins to sing, flapping her wings. As she does so, the tree grows, its branches and leaves rising into the sky. She leaps up and flies around the tree, creating a swirling upward air current. Macatle joins in, flying up to the tree, flapping his wings and making strange chattering noises which makes the tree grow faster. Then he too leaps up and flies around the tree, following Xactona – the air current becomes a whirlwind. Tirahuia flies up and makes wordless music in the branches before leaping out to join Xactona and Macatle, swooping and wheeling to make the whirlwind resonate. From out of this maelstrom, a flute, a bull roarer and a drum fall to earth.
The three Flying Water People come together in this whirlwind and as they touch, Perozon, the nightingale, the spirit of all music, springs into being. S/he combines all the Flying Water People's songs and chatterings and flies up to Heaven, creating as s/he does so the most beautiful song heard in the darkness of the highest skies. The leaves of the Mintxac tree and the light from Heavenly starlight is so delighted by the nightingale's music that it forms itself into a pathway between the Heavenly Garden and the top of the tree. A burst of love spreads out across the cosmos as Ana and Atlai realise they can be together again.
io to min, the watery origin Ana gazes, sets her eyes upon the Heavens, Ana gazes, separated from her love, seeing that song of Earth, song of Heaven, prayer of Earth, prayer of Heaven, chattering of Earth, chattering of Heaven, magic of Earth, magic of Heaven, music of Earth, music of Heaven, transformation of Earth, transformation of Heaven, seeing that we come together and touch, and so we have sung and made magic, here in the sheltering World Tree, |
